Looking at Grub's Grub, Ebisu Opens a Window

The past 72 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the
San Francisco restaurant scene.
It was a slow weekend in gossip country, but Eater SF's Carolyn A. scores two finds. The first: Grub (758 Valencia) is several months past its target opening date, but an Eater tipster snaps a few pictures of the menu. Which, by the look of it, is going to be massive.
Also from Eater, Ebisu opens a downtown takeout window (336 Kearny, at Bush; 398-2388; www.ebisusushi.com; open 10a-4p). The pitch: some sushi, salads, onigiri, and curry, plus innovative mochi flavors such as lavender-fig.
7x7's Sara D. gets a look at House of Shields (39 New Montgomery), which Dennis Leary is currently renovating, and estimates the opening day to be 60 days out.
