"I wanted to play with stereotypes of how we've been mispronounced," said Long Bar proprietor Reza Esmaili of his forthcoming I-talian I-ranian American Spaghetti Feed. Sunday's three-course meal, a wind-down from SF Cocktail Week, will be a culinary collaboration between Long Bar's new consultant (and Top Chef alum) Erik Hopfinger and Zaré at Fly Trap's Hoss Zaré featuring Hopfinger's spaghetti and Zaré's kufteh, an Iranian version of meatballs stuffed with a surprise, and tiramisu and faloodeh for dessert. Patrons will slosh it down with a glass of "to be released '08 I'll Maialina Chianti Classico that fell off the truck," explained Esmaili.

The festivities start with Negronis at 8 p.m., with dinner to follow an hour later. Esmaili requests that women wear their hair big and everyone come with an elastic waistband in preparation for a pig-out.
