The 2010 Eat Real Festival saw a 40 percent increase in attendees over 2009.
Organizers of this year's Eat Real Festival calculate that 100,000 Bay Area food seekers showed up in Jack London Square over the three days of the event, which wrapped up Sunday. That represents more than a 40 percent increase over the approximately 70,000 attendees who showed up at last year's inaugural Eat Real. Combine that with the 30,000 who showed up at the one-day SF Street Food Festival on Aug. 21 (more than twice as many who showed up last year), and it suggests the Bay Area's passion for street food.
