The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco restaurant scene.

This is a dark week for bakeries. First Patisserie Delanghe closes, and now Paolo L. of Inside Scoop brings word that the 134-year-old Boniere Bakery in Alameda closed after the landlord jacked up the rent. Go support your local 100-year-old bakery. Buy a pastry from Victoria Bakery in North Beach, say, or go hug the owners of Galli's Sanitary Bakery in South San Francisco and beg them to stick around.

But there's a bright spot. After an interminable wait, Eater SF's Carolyn A. reports that a sign has appeared on the windows of the Mission branch of Arizmendi (1268 Valencia). It reads "See you next week."

Scoop also reports that a place called Macellato the Sandwich (59 Columbus) has opened in the old Caffe Macaroni space. The pitch: Fried-chicken sandwich with Fulton Valley Farms meat. Do you need to know more?

One opening from last night, much reported on: Plum in Oakland.
