Una Pizza Napoletana Tosses Out an Opening Date, the Washbag's Washed Up

Oho! Jay B. at Grub Street interviewed pizzaiolo Anthony Mangieri and finds that the New York transplant now has a firm opening date for his Una Pizza Napoletana on Howard and Eighth St.: Sept. 8.
In his print piece, Inside Scoop's Paolo L. reported on a few new ― but still far-off ― projects:
1. Gary Danko's opening his unnamed American brasserie at Ghirardelli Square (900 North Point) sometime next spring.
2. Former Quince pastry chef William Werner will open Tell Tale Preserve Co. (33 Maiden Lane) late this year, where he'll sell his pastries, preserves, and sandwiches.
3. Ex-Ame chef Greg Dunmore is plotting an izakaya in Hayes Valley named Nojo (231 Franklin), probably in early 2011.
Scoop also reported that well-known S.F. restaurateur Ed Moose died yesterday, on the same day that his old restaurant, the Washington Square Bar and Grill (aka the Washbag), shut its doors. Farewell to both.
