Thermidor's Iceberg Daiquiri, a Frosty Flashback

rsz_therm_daq1.jpg
Thermidor's Iceberg ($9) is a mini vacay on a bar stool. Mixologist Brooke Arthur's cooling frozen daiquiri has vanilla and grapefruit elements, but just a hint of the latter, meaning it's pretty much free of the bitterness that can easily overpower a resort drink. That said, the Iceberg has enough grapefruit to give Thermidor's daiquiri an adult edge, unlike the frothy frozen concoctions you recall ― or most likely don't ― from spring breaks in Cabo. The Iceberg's other ingredients include white rum, maraschino, and lime, a blend that conjures its own 80-degree temperatures. Good thing.
