The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco restaurant scene.

Well, SFoodie wishes we had some heartwarming tale to tell you, since it's been a slow day for restaurant news.

Paolo L. of Grub Street learned that Neldam's Danish Bakery in Oakland has closed after a protracted, public (i.e., angry signs on the bakery's window) struggle to stay open. The East Bay Express recently reported that Neldam's is moving to the Pinole area, with additional locations possible.

Jay B. at Grub Street has discovered that the restaurant he previously nicknamed "Emily's Seasonal Soul Food" will be named Radish (3465 19th St.). Uptown Almanac reports the same news, along with a few snide remarks, its equivalent of a casserole and an invitation to play bridge some time.
And from @7by7bitsbites: "Restaurant called Locavore opening in Bernal. Between Local Mission Eatery, Sonoma's Lokal and potentially Locanda, it's getting confusing." SFoodie has not heard of the restaurant, so we tried Googling "Locavore restaurant Bernal San Francisco." We'll report more news as soon as we sift through the 19,800 responses.
