Schoggi Pairs Tea with Chocolate For a Good Cause
Looking to upgrade your afternoon tea session to something a bit more luxe? A class tomorrow night at Swiss chocolate maker Schoggi near Union Square aims to break down the tea ceremony and pair it with house sweets. Leaves provided by Shimonei teas, whose website gives a hint of what you can expect: "There is no single recipe for making the perfect tea, as there are no rules for producing the best wine. Each preparation of the leaves has its individuality, its special affinity with water, heat, and infusion time, its own method of telling a story." Hmm. Schoggi also carries drinking chocolate, bonbons, and other nibbles to round out your tea time buffet. Details after the jump.![]()
