Namu's Solution for Ferry Plaza Lines: The Office Preorder
Miserable-looking Midwesterners in Tommy Bahama aren't the only constant at Ferry Plaza these days. At the Thursday street-food market, lines stretch way past the point of lunch-hour patience. "It's a really tight window that people are trying to fit into," says Namu's Dennis Lee. "A lot of people just end up jumping in whatever line is shortest." ![]()

Lee has a solution for the time-harried: The office express. Namu launched a preorder service for office customers today. For a minimum of $75, you can preorder any of Namu's regular offerings, plus a couple of advance-only exclusives, a weekly changing bento box and special sandwich. Plus if you do the advance group order thing three weeks in a row, you get $50 off your next one. Namu put out order sheets today, and has been reaching out to offices Downtown. If all goes as Lee hopes, the lines on future Thursdays? A sea of tropical-prints and fanny packs.
