Mission Community Market
Organizers say they welcome suggestions about additional vendors.
This morning Jeremy Shaw, director of the collaborative organizing the Mission Community Market, named names ― food vendor names, that is. The weekly market on Bartlett between 21st and 22nd Streets debuts Thursday. Only a handful of neighborhood-based food businesses will be on hand for this week's opener: Sweet Constructions, CMB Sweets, and Antojitos Salvadoreños, plus a booth representing La Cocina clients Clairesquares, Kika's Treats, and Estrellita's Snacks. The farmers' market roster includes Twin Girls, Blue House Farm, Tomatero, Hidden Star, Organic Pastures, and more.

Shaw says that, since the market is a collaborative whose, well, mission, calls for reflecting the Mission, he's open to public suggestions for additional food slingers.
