An inside source has confirmed to SFoodie that Bay Street Emeryville will soon get a branch of It'Sugar, a ginormous confectionery emporium whose CEO helped launch another notable ginormous confectionery emporium, Dylan's Candy Bar in New York. With this opening will come the self-proclaimed world's largest gummy bear ($45), which weighs five pounds, is the size of 1,000 regular gummy bears, and, according to DNAinfo.com, will cost you more than 12,000 calories. This will be the first Northern California location for the chain, which has a presence in Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and London. The projected East Bay opening: September 5.
