My Misty at Eve's Lounge, a Citrus Cocktail with a Jolt

Eve Lounge bartender Misty Spinney's cocktail namesake, My Misty, is sneaky in the best way. Just like Eve's blend of tasteful Roaring '20s decor with DJ-spun soul and dance beats, the drink's contrasts are improbable, but they work.

Stoli Citrus, muddled strawberries, lemon juice, and an orange slice create a cozy foundation fired up with jalapeño. As the pepper macerates, it gives off extra sizzle, but never gets uncomfortable. The chile slice garnish is the drink's equivalent of the mezcal worm in tequila; eat it and you get a lovely jolt. Just make sure a glass of water is at the ready.
