Father's Day Kickoff to Presidio Social Club's Sunday Pig Roasts
Tucked between celebration-heavy Memorial Day and the Fourth of July, Father's Day ― a frail holiday to begin with ― can get a little lost in the shuffle. It's a shame, really. Where would we be without Pops, he who once delivered an 8 a.m. kitchen table lecture on avoiding gonorrhea, helped shape our early and ungainly prose stylings, and taught us how to score, at least theoretically, with our back to the basket? Nowhere, that's where. ![]()

If you're looking for a good place to toast your father, Presido Social Club's June 20 pig roast (the first of the summer) will do the trick. Chef Ray Tang's Caja China-cooked organic swine will follow happy-hour pupu platters, and tropical cocktails crafted by renowned mixologist Tim Stookey. The Caja China, by the way, is a Bobby Flay-approved wooden box chef Tang likes to use for roasting. Event details after the jump.
