Grub Street's giving away a year of sandwiches ― like Ike's Fat Bastard.
There is such a thing as a free lunch around these parts. Grub Street San Francisco is currently giving away a year's worth of the iconic local sandwiches listed on its San Francisco Sandwich Register, a prize the site estimates is worth up to $2,000. The winner will eat such delights as Anchor & Hope's lobster roll, Bakesale Betty's fried chicken sandwich, Il Cane Rosso's beef brisket "bollito," and Kitchenette's charcuterie muffuletta.

If you prefer something a bit cheesier, consider brainstorming a name for Allison Arevalo's forthcoming mac and cheese restaurant in Oakland. She's offering a lifetime of the dish to the winner, though as Inside Scoop reports today, she may not have had as much trouble from McDonald's for her original name, Little Mac, as she originally let on.

As always, you can't win if you don't play!
