Chilango's pozole.
Cinco de Mayo, the day even fishbelly-pale Irish guys crave two-buck Tecates exactly like mom used to make. As a tribute ― and a guide to some of the best Mexican dishes in San Francisco (and slightly beyond) ― we've culled nine from our sprawling SFoodie's 92 project. That kicked off January 7, when we began compiling our 92 favorite things to eat and drink; it wraps next Tuesday, day before SF Weekly's epic Best Of San Francisco issue lands in sidewalk boxes all over town. Today, enjoy the best Mexican eats the SFoodie staff has had the pleasure to eat our way through these past four months. Hey Irish guys: ¡Que provecho! That goes for the rest of you, too. The tasty starts after the jump.
