Prince Neville's Hibiscus, a Jamaican Refresher from S.F.

Tamara Palmer
Prince Neville's is a San Francisco brand brewed by the former chef and manager of the defunct King Jamaica restaurant in the Western Addition. A family recipe from the founder's grandmother, this is a pleasantly intense take on hibiscus coolers thanks to liberal amounts of Jamaican ginger root, something absent from Mexican hibiscus drinks. It is sweetened with honey instead of sugar ― it's a nice balance for the tart lime. Look for it and its ginger beer sister at Other Avenues on Judah and Rainbow Grocery on Folsom.
