David Kinch, Nicole Plue Win Beard Awards, and Everyone (After)Parties Hard

Last night capped two days of galas, as San Francisco chefs and food writers traveled to New York for the James Beard Foundation Awards, which were presented Sunday and Monday nights. According to the vigorous Tweeting, the afterparty hopping was intense.  There was apparently dancing and much drinking, but nothing on the order of Jeremy Fox's little strip-pole display from last year. (Er, if there was, please send photos.)

As usual, New York swept most of the awards ― best chef, best restaurant, best new restaurant. Multiple nominee David Kinch, of Manresa, finally took home Best Chef: Pacific, which means Quince's Michael Tusk is now officially the JBFA Susan Lucci. Bay Area award winners after the jump:
