Because SFoodie only lines up early for estate sales if we've seen something we liked in the Craigslist preview pics, we called Chronicle to find out which cookbooks will be on sale. The woman we spoke to looked over her inventory and gave us a partial list:

If we were particularly OCD bargain-hunters (we admit nothing), we'd cross-check the titles on the publisher's Web site to gather more advance intel. Basically, our informant concluded, the titles on sale are ones that came out a year or more ago. Nothing from the past few season's releases will receive the discount.
