The digs: Proto-Cabo cowabunga hangout with mounted sombreros and surfboards, thatched-roof booths, wicker barstools, and Christmas lights the year 'round. Hypnotic reggae adds to the tropical Western Addition ambience.
The verdict: Every day there's another reason to drop by this fun and festive (if not especially authentic) Baja Norte getaway. On Mondays there are two-for-one pints of Sierra and Dos Equis. Tuesdays offer $1 tacos and $10 pitchers of beer. On Wednesdays, margaritas are just a buck apiece, and on Thursdays and Fridays you can chase $4 shots of Milagro tequila with $2 cans of Tecate cerveza. Pitchers of Dos Equis are $10 on Saturday (Milagro shots are $4), and on Sundays, vitamin-rich sangria is $12 per pitcher from 3:30 on. That's in addition to the weekday $13 margarita pitchers and the warm, crunchy chips, which are accompanied by three excellent salsas (tomato-cilantro, green chile, and smoky habañero). Sounds like a party!
