Mobbed with daily throngs from nearby Gap corporate (they're the ones in the crisp jeans), the young guys in the Los Compadres truck do a decent job keeping up. You might have to wait, oh, 20 minutes from order to pickup, which would blow if the tacos weren't good, but thankfully, that's not the case. Tongue is one of our favorites here ― it's less gray, a tad more tender and less offal-y than it can be at other trucks. The soft, shredded carnitas are fine, too, the picante salsa is decent, and for less than $5 (more with a drink) you can get reasonably full, and ― if you like that sort of thing ― get more than your fill of overheard Gap gossip.
