Noodle Fest: Bringing Black Bean Sauce and Bolognese Together

Categories: Events
NoodleFest_Logo.png
On Sunday, North Beach and Chinatown restaurants come together to honor Marco Polo's putative gift from China to Italy: the noodle. Two full blocks on the border between the two neighborhoods will be blocked off to traffic, and 30 participating restaurants will set up stands to demonstrate their noodle-cooking prowess. There will be chef demonstrations (Chef Shen from Bund Shanghai and Chef Carventz from), and, if you pardon our inability to let a bad pun wither on the vine, musicians noodling about on the stage. A ticket gets you entrance to the event, as well as three samples from each noodle-making strip. (Participating restaurants after the jump.)
