Could Lenny Lumpia someday be as ubiquitous as Ronald McDonald?
Street food on all levels is still blossoming in San Francisco, with several more legal and informal vendors getting ready to make late spring and early summer debuts. In the meantime, Lumpia Cart, which launched last summer, is the first of the small-scale sellers to respond to high demand by creating a second lumpia frying setup so that it can be serving in two different locations at the same time, as it started doing last weekend.

Time will tell if this is a harbinger of franchising action to come from this community, but we're digging this new development. Especially if it means we'll have more neighborhood choice when it comes to eating on the streets.
