Ferry Building Heath Store Opens Earlier Than Expected

Categories: Ferry Building
Who knew Heath bowls and vases came in so many colors?
The Heath Ceramics store in the Ferry Building Marketplace opened today, a few days ahead of its projected April opening. The Sausalito-based ceramic maker, beloved by both Dwell and Alice Waters, replaces Tsar Nicoulai, which moved out early in January.
$50 for three.
The factory will be occasionally making items only for the store. For instance, in honor of the new store, it has produced a small series of nested bowls with wide, unglazed lips and acid-green glaze. Only 50 sets were made, so if you want a look at these you'd better get on MUNI today.

Heath Marketplace One Ferry Building, Suite 12, 399-9284;
open Mon.-Fri 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sat. 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sun. 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
