Pinch us: Pal's Jeff Mason called us last week to let us know that his partner, sandwich master David Knopp, was planning something drop-dead Irish for today, the day guys bust out shirts in shades of green so ugly you wonder how they ever got made. Knopp has been corning briskets of American Kobe beef ― slices of it will land on Acme rye, together with braised cabbage and house-made Guinness mustard. And just think: If you get globs of Guinness mustard or beef juices on that ancient Gap buttondown in some particularly heinous apple-green stripe, chances are nobody'll notice.
