Work on the Bernal Heights storefront began last July.
The owner of the slow-to-arrive food marketplace in Bernal Heights is now hoping for a mid-April launch. Debra Resnik said that while she doesn't have a firm opening date, the six vendors at 331 Cortland should soon begin work on their individual stalls. "We're still working on the last bits of it, and the vendors are starting to do their build-out," Resnik told SFoodie.

Work on the 1,000-square-foot storefront began last July. Conceived as a mini Ferry Building Marketplace, the six vendors who will operate stalls at 331 Cortland include Della Terra Organic Produce, Bernal Cutlery, Paulie's Pickling, El PorteƱo Empanadas, Wholesome Bakery, and ICHI Lucky Cat Deli. There'll be an educational component too, Resnik said. "The vendors are each coming up with a schedule of classes and presentations and group events." Resnik said Bernal Cutlery owner Josh Donald was even thinking about organizing a whittling club. The market will be open seven days a week.
