Drink of the Week: LonjeviTea's Gravenstein Apple Kombucha

Might we actually be living in the epicenter of great kombucha? Add Petaluma's LonjeviTea to a growing list of local companies offering a worthwhile twist on the probiotic tea. Brewed with yerba maté rather than the usual black tea, it still packs a powerful and stimulating kick, but with less potential jitteriness for the caffeine sensitive. We enjoy the Gravenstein apple version, a lovely daytime alternative to your alcoholic cider drinks at night (with a hint of alcohol taste due to the fermentation). It's also available in ginger and chamomile varieties.
