Doggy Bag: Gung Hay Fat Jell-O
Our favorite morsel from the blogs.![]()
Easy, tiger: A typical night at Butter.
Getting lucky: The Year of the Tiger starts Sunday. At Bay Area Bites, Stephanie Im breaks down the foods any self-respecting table should groan under: noodles, dumplings, white-poached chicken, steamed fish, kumquats ― troll the entire list here. Our favorite? An Im innovation: orange slice Jell-O shots, hollowed fruit filled with orange-vodka-spiked gelatin (tinted red, of course). Which makes Chinese New Year seem every bit as exciting as a night at Butter, though let's hope the Year of the Tiger bestows a hell of a lot more luck than most guys have after half a dozen Tang-Tinis.
