New Burger Joint Uncle Boy's Delivers to the Richmond and Maybe Beyond (If You're Nice)

T. Palmer
Uncle Boy's (245 Balboa at Fourth Ave.) opened Dec. 1 and quickly filled the Richmond's late-night void with respectable renditions of burgers and fries. The bright new spot is open until midnight Sun.-Weds., and until 2 a.m. Thurs.-Sat.; the original closing time was 3 a.m. until a law enforcement officer told them it should be otherwise, according to the Uncle Boy's Twitter feed.

Delivery is officially within the Richmond District, but Uncle tells SFoodie they'll likely consider motoring out to other 'hoods if the order is big enough. The menu, while small, also includes chicken wings and Filipino items such as turon and lumpia. We're also told that the name Uncle Boy's has special significance within the Pinoy community. It's a tribute to family, since just about everyone in the Philippines is said to have an Uncle Boy or Auntie Baby.
