Hold your horses, please.
Dear Restaurant Industry,

Please realize that names are very important. Great food can be hidden forever under the cover of a bad name. Look to these five places as a guide to what not to do when choosing one.

Yours truly,

5. White Horse Dim Sum & Restaurant (937 Taraval at 19th Ave.)

Hold your horses, please. We don't want them in our dumplings.

4. Khan Toke Thai House (5937 Geary at 24th Ave.)

Yo, it's cool that you khan toke up in there, but all that smoke surely gets in the way of the food.

3. Grubstake (1525 Pine at Polk)

If it was spelled Grubsteak, we could probably get with it. But miner's financial lingo just isn't delicious, even at 3 in the morning.

2. Ozone (598 Second at Brannan)

We need ozone way up in the sky, keeping the ultraviolet rays away from us, not in the kitchen.

1. Squat & Gobble (1 West Portal at Portola, 1428 Haight at Ashbury)

Okay, squat where? And gobble what, exactly?
