CAMINOS-Pathways Learning Center, which offers computer literacy and workforce development programs to promote digital inclusion for Latina women, will host a daylong ode to tamales with Fiesta del Tamal. Attendees will get to sample varying regional styles of tamale from nine different restaurants representing at least five countries and vote on their favorite. Participating restaurants are Olivia's (Mexico), Taqueria Vallarta (Mexico), La Espiga de Oro (Mexico), El Nuevo Frutilandia (Puerto Rico), Mr. Pollo (Colombia and Guatemala), Rinconcito Salvadoreño (El Salvador),
Estrellita's Snacks (El Salvador), Roosevelt Tamale Parlor (pan-Latin), and Palacio Latino (pan-Latin).
Tamales take a star turn this Saturday, Dec. 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Women's Building (3543 18th St. at Lapidge). Admission is $7 (free for kids under 10). There's more info on the
