Free Sour Flour Bread Bash Sunday
Danny Gabriner and his bread outfit Sour Flour are the source of a unique carbtastic soiree this Sunday, Nov. 29. Baking evangelist Gabriner is inviting friends and family (the public, too) to the Monkey Club (2730 21st St. at Bryant) for free bread, with butter, olive oil, soup, pizza, and curry. Kids are welcome, too. The party begins at 5 p.m. Monkey Club is down the street from Sour Flour HQ. ![]()

In his invitation, Gabriner explains Sour Flour's mission thus: "For the past 6 months, Sour Flour has been devoted to mastering bread, sharing that bread with the community, and educating those who want to learn about the process." Sounds like Gabriner has even more in the works: "Our initial goal was to give away 1000 loaves of bread, but this is only the beginning. Join us as Sour Flour evolves to the next stage." Gabriner is still working out the details, but promised SFoodie via phone that the party should be "fun and interesting."
