Not the face: Deen at a similar Smithfield ham giveaway in July, this one in Savannah, Ga.

​Poor Paula! Celeb chef and honey-voiced Southern cooking doyenne Paula Deen was hit in the face by a ham earlier today. "Ran head on to a hog," said Deen after getting walloped by a Smithfield Foods ham that was accidentally lobbed at her during a Hosea Feed the Hungry benefit event in Atlanta. Pretty sure Smithfield Foods didn't put ham injury into Deen's contract when she signed on to be their spokesperson! Watch CBS Atlanta footage of Deen getting walloped here. Of course, some would argue that when you shill for Smithfield, you're pretty much inviting catastrophe.
