Wade Knee-Deep Through Curry Next Week with Ranjan Dey
Curries of the world, unite and take over! Ranjan Dey, star of the PBS documentary series My India! and owner of New Delhi Restaurant, will hold court there (160 Ellis at Cyril Magnin) next Friday, October 16, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. For $35, you can enjoy a brew (or a mango lassi), sample an assortment of curry variations, and hear the chef share his version of curry's history -- its spread and effect, both cultural and gastronomic, on Southeast Asia and the world. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Compassionate Chefs Cafe.
