Buying Out the Sweet Constructions Cart

Sweet Constructions has been in the wholesale business for seven years, and the mobile cart biz for only the past two months. SFoodie encountered them in the streets last week, went wild, and bought one of everything, which came to $16 -- not bad for bragging rights to say you've bought out a bakery.

Most items were $1 (orange butter swirls, butter cookies, ginger drops) or $1.50 (brownie with mocha ganache, caramel coconut bars, sandwich cookies, and mini cupcakes with cream cheese frosting). But the tuffin -- a large tart/muffin combo bursting with pear and ginger -- set us back a deserving $5. Our impulse to buy it all was rewarded with nary an errant bite in the bunch. We even added an extra ginger drop after taking the first bite.

Find the Sweet Constructions Cart most Fridays on the corner of 20th Street and Valencia (follow on Twitter for more specifics and updates). The company also bakes goodies for Spencer on the Go and Jackson Place Cafe (633 Battery at Jackson) and sells online, where there's even a Cookie of the Month Club membership.
