Art: A fine excuse to enjoy crème brûlée.
The Mission's Fabric8 Galleries (3318 22nd St. at Valencia) has been super clued-in to the street eats in its 'hood and has been collaborating with vendors since its recent opening. It's another smart cross-pollination demonstrating a terrific demand for culinary creativity.

The current Fabric8 exhibit, which includes the work of beloved locals like Brian Barneclo, Ursula Young, and Romanowski, is on view through September 26, but if you go this Friday, September 4 (6-8 p.m.) for "Street Art X Street Food," you can take in the sights and enjoy a nice array of snacks available for purchase from Adobo Hobo, Soul Cocina, Gobba Gobba Hey, and Crème Brûlée Cart. Hey, don't ever think that SFoodie isn't a patron of the arts.
