Molto Goes to Hollywood
Mario Batali fans may be intrigued to know that their favorite Molto chef will play a restaurant owner in a soon to be released horror film called Bitter Feast. The low budge film is about the kidnapping of what the trailer blurb describes as a "powerful and notoriously snarky food critic," J.T. Franks, played by Humpday's Josh Leonard. In what sounds like an interesting twist, Batali plays the owner of a restaurant the food critic gives a bad review to. It's not known how much screen time Batali's character will have. ![]()
Hope the props department gives him classier Crocs.
The restaurant's chef, Peter Grey (played by James LeGros), decides to kidnap and perhaps do some harm to Franks. Check out the teaser trailer below; none of the actors appear in the clip. Check out the icky long, manicured nails on what look like chicken feet -- pretty disturbing. But the appearance of locks, chains, and a bloodied rope nestled on a cutting board together with some beautiful pantry ingredients seems to suggest a grisly conclusion for the Franks character.
