Upscale Street-Food Lunch Cart Ready to Roll
After weeks of bureaucratic delays, Carte415 -- chef Joshua Skenes' upscale street-food lunch cart -- finally has a roll-out date: tomorrow. Skenes told SFoodie late yesterday he'd just gotten the green light to begin serving lunch from his custom-made food cart, which will be situated in the atrium lobby at 101 Second St. (at Mission), weekdays, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.![]()
Carte415 plans to roll out weekdays in the atrium lobby of 101 Second St.
As of last night, Skenes wasn't ready to unveil Wednesday's opening menu. Expect salads and sandwiches made with seasonal produce and plenty of refined chef's touches.
Last month Skenes, a former chef for the Michael Mina restaurant group, launched a Sunday night prix-fixe at the Stable Café called Saison. Follow updates on Carte415 on Twitter.
