Following last month's screening of BMX cult classic flick
Rad,
San Francisco Bicycle Coalition will host a free screening of the mountain bike movie
Klunkerz on Wednesday, August 19 at 8 p.m. in the parking lot across the street from
Good Hotel (112 7th St. at Mission). Not only will there be free valet parking for your bike, but, as in last month's event, which featured snacks for sale from
Spencer on the Go,
Magic Curry Kart,
Amuse Bouche,
Bike Basket Pies, and others, SFBC is once again inviting street food carts/artists to sell their edibles on site. This is another encouraging collaboration of ideas and communities that gives our current street food movement another safe option to flourish. An article in today's
SFGate even likens it to an "enlightened update" of the drive-in theaters, but we've never had food this interesting at a drive-in. The SFBC bike-in movies will continue through next month.
