Eat Real isn't the only thing rolling out in Jack London this weekend.
MarketBar chef Rick Hackett's much-anticipated
pan-American resto Bocanova holds its soft opening tonight for friends and family, mere feet from Eat Real's stage. What's on for tonght's select few? Burnt carrot and arugula salad, Dungeness deviled eggs, scallops in Brazilian curry sauce, mini burgers.

The kitchen will be open tomorrow and Sunday, whipping out a very limited menu of snacks and small bites for diners on the patio. And then, assistant manager Stella Davies told SFoodie, after catching its breath Monday, Bocanova opens for real Tuesday, September 1, starting at 11 a.m.
The dining room is chunky and brooding, handsomely Arts and Crafts, all dark woods, colored glass panels, and brightly patterned rugs. The new flagship of Miette Patisserie next door is likewise said to be opening soon.
More Bocanova pics after the jump.
