Normally, we'd tell you to eat your greens, but not today: our sister news blog The Snitch  alerted us to a recall of green onions that has affected three San Francisco area markets (Grub Street and SFist were all over it, too). If you've recently purchased iced green onions (Omo or Fu Choy brand) from El Grande Grocery & Produce (2214 Clement at 25th Ave.) or Good Life Grocery (448 Cortland at Andover, 1524 20th St. at Connecticut), do not eat them (they might be contaminated with salmonella). You can go a step further and take them back to the store, if you're so inclined.
