Pie Truck Home Delivery is as Easy as You-Know-What

Ordering in just got a little more decadent now that the Alameda-based Pie Truck, a newly licensed mobile vendor, recently debuted a weekly home delivery service to San Francisco. The current menu features 10-inch pies in blueberry crumble, apple, pecan, sweet potato, backyard lemon (whole lemon slices with the rind), and banana cream ($20) and five-inch pot pies in chicken and veggie coconut curry ($7), with a $20 minimum order (cash and PayPal accepted).

Local blog Vegansaurus made a special dairy-free order (most of the pies can be made vegan), and proclaimed the apple "super duper tasty" and vegan coconut curry pot pie "off the hook!" The deadline for ordering for delivery this Friday, August 21 (Alameda, Berkeley, Oakland, Central SF) or Saturday, August 22 (Alameda, Berkeley, Oakland) is 2 p.m. today. It's a schedule that's likely to repeat in future weeks, with South Bay delivery hopefully to follow in a few months.
