Doggy Bag: Today's Odds and Ends

There's little left of our weekend but a severe farmer tan and the bedroom's pile of crispy T-shirts fragrant with pit sweat. But Saturday and Sunday live on in today's collection of food porn.

Pixel envy: We're guessing The Daily Feed's Bunrab burned through a coupla memory cards at least for some visual reporting on Eat Real. Talk about porn: Just try to look at the egg-studded ramen from Poleng Lounge without gastrointestinal gurgling. Go on.

Battle of the bay: Bay Area Bites coughs up a double Stephanie: Stephanie Im's gorgeous food (and, okay, Fergie) pics from Outside Lands, and Stephanie Rosenbaum's report on Eat Real. Rosenbaum came away with a bit of critique, too: Where the recent SF Street Food Festival skipped actual street food for slimmed-down restaurant eats, Eat Real did keep it real, with taco trucks, soul food ribs and the Sexy Soup Lady in a pink apron straddling her three-wheeled soup cart. And the prices were right, too, with nothing over $5. Oh, snap! And we're not just talking photos.
