Eww media: 7x7's Bits + Bites peeks at new mag Food + Sex (what, nobody can deal with the ampersand?). Though the phrase "human-incubated yogurt" gave us a gack-back whiff of our never-washed high school gym shorts (in retrospect, a passive-aggressive P.E. protest), it was the mag's manifesto that drained any possible erotic charge Food + Sex might otherwise tweak: By weaving erotic, shocking and thoughtful layers of beauty, wildness and the human spirit, we peer into the fire of hope and fear to find the hidden, seek the cosmic and reflect on the elemental connectedness in life that opens us to new ways of being. Ever been so itchy for a hookup you found yourself grinding on someone who told you they could smell your aura? Kind of like that.
Mission creep: Grub Street goes all sleuthy through online applications for beer and wine licenses and comes up with a gem: Rosamunde is planning to unleash burger lines on Mission Street. Grub Street says the Lower Haight sausage joint is either planning to become a two-restaurant chain, or to pick up and move altogether to the Café Argüello space at 2832 Mission (at 24th St.). Nice catch, Adam.
