Eating My Way Down Clement Street
Mac Dre's Thizz face: Your new culinary rating system.
Our pals at Grub Street have alerted us to a local blog with a charming and ambitious Richmond District mission. Eating My Way Down Clement Street is just that: one woman's quest to take on one of the most deliciously carb-loaded thoroughfares in San Francisco.

SFoodie has been known to dip into the Thizz Juice with some regularity. So we were quite tickled to see that, rather than stars or whisks or gumdrops, the cartoon-rendered "thizz face" of the late Bay Area rapper Mac Dre is the standard of valuation here. So far, EMWDCS has tackled Village Pizzeria (1 Clement at Second Ave.), B-Star (127 Clement at Third Ave.), Giorgio's Pizza (151 Clement at Third Ave.), and Hard Knox Cafe (2448 Clement at 25th Ave.), and didn't particularly adore any of them -- which leaves the site with approximately elevendy billion more places on Clement to try.

We have lots of suggestions for EMWDCS, but we don't want to do her job. Okay, maybe just a little: She should definitely hit up Schubert's Bakery (521 Clement at Sixth Ave.) for Princess cake, Q (225 Clement at Third Ave.) for comfort food, and Good Luck Dim Sum (736 Clement at Eighth Ave.) for doughy delights.
