Sweet Beat: Batter Bakery's Lavender Sea Salt Shortbread
A somewhat safer choice than the Boccalone/Humphry Slocombe lard shortbread that SFoodie editor John Birdsall happily gobbled earlier this week, there's still a pleasing crumble and strong flavors at work here. The salt was too much for some of our pals, but that reaction was exciting because that simply meant more for us. Now, we just need to hunt down the black pepper and Parmesan shortbread that's currently teasing us on the Batter Bakery menu.
