With recent events such as the
Ice Cream Sunday Ride, the
San Francisco Bicycle Coalition has truly clued in to the wondrous crossover potential between cycling enthusiasts and noshing. We've learned via eavesdropping on the Twitter feeds of some of our favorite street food vendors that SFBC has asked some of them to sell their food while they screen the 1986 cult BMX flick
Rad. So, while you take in the Eighties kitschiness (including a small role for Olympic gymnastics champ Bart Conner playing a character named Bart), you will also likely be able to purchase and enjoy treats from
Spencer on the Go and
Magic Curry Kart. And maybe even more.
This free screening and exciting snackdown will take place on Wednesday, July 29 in the parking lot across the street from
Good Hotel (112 Seventh at Mission), with the film beginning at 8 p.m. SFBC volunteers will valet park your bike for free.
