Dine Wild on a Marin Houseboat Thursday
Savor the sunny weather -- temps should top out at in the mid-nineties in the Bay Area -- on Thursday while dining "wild" on a houseboat at a TBD location in Marin. This unique dining option launched earlier this year, and comes from a group called The Wild Kitchen. The food and concept are reportedly "uncultivated... natural, sustainable, delicious." Menu translation*? Amuse of wild foraged escargot; wild fennel pesto with handmade gnocchi; salad of sautéed wild radish seed pods with nasturtium flowers and local greens; wild nettle soup with Cowgirl Creamery crème fraiche; porcini and Pecorino stuffed Monterey squid; bacon bread pudding with foraged plum syrup.
*Note: Don't fall too in love with this menu, because it may change since "the freshest wild foraged ingredients" are subject to change. Roof deck seating is $50, and it's bring your own beverages.
