Another Thursday Option: Grow-A-Farmer Fundraiser at One Market

If floating your Thursday night away while eating wild food is just not your thing, consider shelling out 25 bones for a Grow-A-Farmer fundraiser that includes eats from One Market Restaurant, as well as Northern California farm inspired dishes.
Event proceeds will go to the permanent housing project for UC Farm & Garden apprentices at UC Santa Cruz. The fundraiser runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will be held at the penthouse at One Market (One Market Penthouse, 1 Market Street). It's a chance to support farmers while checking out the penthouse event space's killer views.
Acrophobes may want to sit this one out. However, those who aspire to be farmers or farmer groupies --or just plain old lovers of farm fresh food-- should consider this a must do. Expect fresh food and farmers from the following NorCal growers: Everett Family Farm, Abounding Harvest Farm, UC Santa Cruz Farm, Pie Ranch (which supplies SFoodie fave Mission Pie), Blue House Farm, Oso Velloso Farm, Freewheelin' Farm, Petaluma Bounty Farm, and Dirty Girl Farm.
