Let's do lunch:
Caviar? Don't worry -- Tsar Nicoulai's sustainably farmed California caviar is the opposite of cocked-pinky fey. Bury your face in the Parisian sandwich, topped with tuna paillard and American golden whitefish caviar. Tsar Nicoulai Caviar Cafe (1 Ferry Building #12, 288-8630).

Drink therapy:
Isa, Luke and Kitty Sung's elegant small-plates charmer in the Marina, has five-buck wines by the glass and soju cocktails, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Chill on the cheap, golden-age-of-jazz-style: $5 well drinks and house wines, and $3 draft beers and sparkling wines at 1300 on Fillmore (1300 Fillmore at Eddy, 771-7100), 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Livin' the life:
Winemaker dinner with David Francke (Folio Fine Wine Partners) and Spanish winemaker Alvaro Comenge. Tonight, 6-8 p.m., Asia de Cuba (Clift, 495 Geary at Taylor, 929-2300). Seven-course prix fixe paired with wines from around the globe. $85.

Worship at the altar of Sicilian culinary expert, cooking teacher, and art historian Fabrizia Lanza. She'll be in conversation with local Italian cookbook diva Carol Field. Tonight, 6:30 p.m., Italian Cultural Institute (425 Washington near Battery, 788-6389). Free (reservations required).
