Seeing how next week's Commonwealth Club event A Chocolate Lover's Fantasy with TCHO 's Timothy Childs is already sold out, we thought it might be smart to give you early warning about the public affairs forum's next cacao-related happening before rabid chocoholics snap up all the tickets. Women and Chocolate: A Natural Combination will explore why the fair sex loves the stuff so darned much. There'll be an expert panel of local female artisan confectioners: Carly Baumann (Cosmic Chocolate), Christine Doerr (Neo Cocoa), Malena Lopez-Maggi (The Xocolate Bar), and Kathy Wiley (Poco Dolce). And because talking about art can be like, say, dancing about architecture, a chocolate tasting at the end of the session will let the audience experience the passion firsthand. Chocolate lovin' happens Thursday, June 25, at 5:30 p.m., the Commonwealth Club (595 Market at Montgomery). Tickets are $20 ($12 for CC members).
